At Mane Affair, we understand that you may have some questions about our services. Here are some of the most common questions we receive from new and existing clients. I

  • How should I arrive for my appointment?
    Thank you for asking! This is an important answer that will avoid rescheduling your appointment: HOW TO ARRIVE TO EACH APPOINTMENT: With your hair FREE of extensions, rubber bands, hair bows, ponytails, and detangled free of knots. HOW NOT TO ARRIVE TO EACH APPOINTMENT: With hair full of hair products incapable of being detangled within 10 mins or less like braid gel, thread, leave in conditioner, etc... The goal is to get right into your appointment and give allow the most of your time to focus on improving your mane, not detangling it.
  • Which products will be used during my appointment?
    Great question! We use an assortment of products specifically for the grade of your texture according to your report card (all new clients receive a report card after their first appointment) We support products like Innersence, AG Care, Uncle Funky's Daughter, Malibu C, Olaplex, Essasions, K18, Rusk, and more styling products with the cleanest ingredients.
  • What are Mane Affair's hours?
    We are OPEN: Monday through Thursday 9am - 7pm | Friday 7am - 5pm We are CLOSED: Saturday and Sunday We are OPEN: Non Federal Holidays (St Patricks, Family Day, etc...) We are CLOSED: Most Federal Holidays (Christmas, New Years, etc...)
  • What products will be used during my appointments?
    During regularly scheduled hair appointments we use Innersense, AG Care, MalibuC, Naked by Essations, Kera Kare, Uncle Funky's, and several styling products to conclude particular looks. Our treatments are specialized according to your scalp needs. The products we choose to use are 80% clean, organic, and free of harsh chemicals. *New client appointments are mandatory in order to discuss personalized product knowledge according to your hair type. All allergies will be documented during your consultation form for future reference.
  • How do I care for my hair after my appointment?
    Caring for your hair after your hair is important, and it starts using a dime size amount of serum on your hair every night. Applying a small amount of moisturizer on your hair the following day also prevents dryness. Depending on your install your hair should be well kept during sleep. A satin scarf and bonnet are always great solutions. For a twist/braid out a pineapple or satin scrunches are another perfect solution. Regardless, sleeping cute is the best recommendation!
  • What are the shipping and delivery terms?
    All orders are shipped via USPS with receipt confirmation and insurance. It takes approximately 5-7 business days for orders to be delivered after the order processing timeframe for the product in question. Orders will be shipped once payment is confirmed and cleared. International orders typically take approximately 10-12 business days for delivery and shipped via USPS as well, unless otherwise stated by the customer. Mane Affair reserves the right to change the delivery method specified on this website to a comparable method. Shipping charges may be more or less than the actual rate charged by the carrier. All shipping costs must be paid in full at the time of the order.If you have tracked your package and there is a discrepancy in delivery information or it has been lost in transit please contact us immediately at info@maneaffairstudio.com. We will contact USPS right away and initiate a trace for your package and have them start an investigation. If it is determined that your shipment has been lost, a replacement will be sent.
  • What is your policy on returns and exchanges?
    All sales are FINAL and there are no returns allowed due to the nature of our products. Once payment is made, we will not offer a refund under ANY circumstances. We accept exchanges only for products with the same or higher value. Customers are advised to notify us via email within 3 business days of receipt in order to qualify for an exchange. Any exchange request not received within the specific time frame will not qualify for an exchange, The product must be sent back in the original condition as it was when shipped from us, meaning it cannot be combed, washed, brushed, cut, worn or altered in any way. Mane Affair will ship the exchanged product using the same shipping method as the original order unless customer states otherwise. The customer is responsible for all return freights in a product exchange transaction. For your protection, we suggest that all returns be sent back to us through a traceable postal carrier. We are not responsible for lost items in transit. All Sales are Final on clearance and sale items. No exchanges or returns will be accepted. NOTE:DUE TO THE DELICATE NATURE OF LACE CLOSURES, THEY CAN NOT BE EXCHANGED OR REPLACED.
  • Are there any chemical service options?
    At Mane Affair Studio, we do offer an array of services that may include chemical processing like ammonia and ammonia free color, high lift coloring, and keratin for protein treatments.
  • What is the cutting process like?
    We specialize in cutting textured hair. Cutting your texture depends on how you wear your hair most. We prefer to cut on blown out hair in order to provide more precision lines for the shape. Trims are cuts, therefore we do charge trims as cuts.
  • Im new. How do I know which service to choose?
    Your new?! Yay! Welcome! Your first appointment pre-designed for you. There are 5 options to choose from to best fit your hairs most desperate need.   • Im new. How do i schedule an appointment?
    Yaaaay! Welcome To Home Of The Healthiest Manes On Earth! Enter the site and click, Schedule Appointment. Your appointment choices as a new client are limited and simplified to discover the best path to each your first hair goal in 90 days. Does that help?

    As a new client we highly value the time you took to seek us as your new hair care practitioners. Our environment is peaceful, private, and full of wisdom!
